When you log in to our services, you use a username, password, and two-factor authentication. This will give you access to our systems.
Change your password
You must change your password at least once a year. You will receive an email reminder when it is time to change your password.
It's important that you read the email sent to your UiA email. We recommend downloading Outlook on your device(s) to stay updated.
Two-factor authentication (TFA)
Both students and employees must set up two-factor authentication, which is a security method in addition to your password.
If you cannot log in via the Authenticator app
This often happens if you change phones. Then you can reset the two-step verification via the aforementioned button. Remember to log in to the form at the top right via ID-porten (if you have a norwegian ID login).

Access after ended studies
You have access to our services as long as you are a student at UiA. We recommend transferring important files from Canvas and OneDrive, as well as your own email to your device or cloud service before you complete or finish your studies with us.
Login Problems
Login sends me to another institution
Students trying to log in to our services with a work PC may encounter problems if the PC uses a different Microsoft account (for example, an account associated with a municipality or school). To avoid these issues, use an Incognito or InPrivate window when logging in. Instructions on how to do this can be found on nettvett.no. Alternatively, you can use different browsers for each account.
Double-check your login information
It's easy to forget passwords and usernames when we often use the auto-login feature. To check if you can log in with your UiA account, visit minside.uia.no
