Ansvarsområde

Trond Randøy er professor innenfor international business og finans. Han har Phd (Dr. oecon) fra NHH Bergen, og MBA fra University of Oregon.

Han har forfattet mer en 50 internasjonale tidsskriftartikler, hvorav følgende på nivå II: Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of World Business og International Business Review.

Faglige interesser

Hans undervisningserfaring kommer fra en rekke universitet i Norge (UiA, BI, NTNU) og i utlandet (Oregon State University, Hanken Finland, University of Hawaii og Curtin University, Australia) og omfatter fagområdene: strategi, finansiering og internasjonal økonomi. Randøy er faglig koordinator for eMBA-studiet, og han er fagansvarlig for flere emner i programmet.

Randøy har mer en 25 års styreerfaring fra bedrifter og organisasjoner i Norge (Høyskoleforlaget AS, MTI Investment AS, Strømmestiftelsen), USA (Authors' Academic Press), Asia (Stromme Microfinance Asia) og Afrika (MTI Investment Ltd.). For tiden forsker han på problemstillinger knyttet til styrearbeid, internasjonalisering og entreprenørskap i fremvoksende økonomier.
