Public transportation

The nearest bus stops to the Natural History Museum are Oddemarka and Oddernesbrua/Kjøita park. Visit Agder public transportation's website for route information.

Driving directions

From E18: Take the exit towards Vennesla/Lund from E18. From the roundabout, merge onto Torridalsveien. Turn right (at the pizzeria, Pizzabakeren) onto Gimleveien. Follow the road uphill. Turn left into the Natural History Museum's parking lot.

From Jegerbergstunellen: Drive straight forward in the first roundabout. Take the 2nd exit in the second roundabout. Drive past SiA and KKG (a large school) on the right, and Oddernes Church (on the left). Turn right onto Gimleveien. Follow the road. Turn right into the Natural History Museum's parking lot.

Parking

The entrance to the parking area is from Gimleveien. Parking for the public costs 14 NOK per day. Payment can be made at the machine or using a parking app.

Garden Rules

  • No cycling allowed. Walk your bike.
  • Keep your dog on a leash. Clean up after your dog.
  • No ball games or climing. 
  • It is illegal to pick flowers and harvest seeds. 

This is a Botanical Garden, all plants are a part of the scientific
collections. Many plants are irreplaceable.
