Withdrawing from an exam

If you withdraw before the exam, it does not count as an attempt. However, you forfeit the opportunity to sign up for a postponed exam. If you withdraw during the exam, it will count as an exam attempt, but you are granted the same right to a postponed exam as students who fail.

  • If the withdrawal is due to illness, we recommend that you apply for valid absence.
  • To take a postponed exam, you have to register.
  • The deadline for registration is 1 February or 1 September.
