Application periods:
- For studies beginning in August (Autumn Semester): 1 February - 20 April
- For studies beginning in January (Spring Semester): 1 February - 5 October
- Summer School (EISS): 1 December - 25 March
Step 1: Log in
Username: Your username is the email address you have registered with us.
For new nominators, please contact UiA International Office
Password: To log in the first time you must order a password from the login page. Write your email under "No password?" and click "send password".
Step 2: Choose relevant agreement
When you entered the portal, you will see the agreements between your institution and UiA (the ones you are responsible for).
- Select the relevant agreement from the list
- Choose “Add new nomination” under the relevant semester to nominate a student. Summer School students should be nominated under Spring Semester.
Step 3: Register nominated students
You will need the following information about the student to complete the nomination: Gender Date of birth Citizenship Enter the student's full name in this format, Paul Smith. Do not use only capital letters. Please also choose the correct semester(s) for admission.
Step 4: Add more students
Complete steps 2 and 3 for each student your institution is nominating to UiA.
Once you have added a nomination, please check the list of students and their status. You may log in again later to check the application status of your nominated student(s).
Step 5: Required documents
English Proficiency Requirements
We kindly ask our partners to check if their students have a minimum B2-level of English. We do not need any documentation for this. This is to give students the best opportunity to successfully follow our courses and strict rules for academic writing.
Financial Statement for Non-EU/EEA students
Our partners must check and confirm that the student has sufficient funding to finance their stay in Norway. UiA needs a signed statement from you confirming this amount (that is adjusted yearly in March)
- Autumn 2024: NOK 68 950
- Spring 2025: NOK 82 740
- Two semesters or more: NOK 151 690
Partners institutions can base their statement on this information provided by the student:
- Bank statement in the students name which shows sufficient funding (in any currency as long as it is equivalent to the amount listed below) or
- Letter/confirmation that you will receive a scholarship/ grant / student loan, or
- Letter from parents where they confirm the relationship with the student and that they will support your stay in Norway financially, together with a bank statement in parents name
UiA cannot accept bank statements uploaded to the students application.

However, it is possible for the nominator to upload documents to the application in the Online Nomination Portal, see step 2 and 3.
Remember to click on "Add Nomination" to save the data.
Changes or cancellation of nomination
Please note that the student data you have entered cannot be edited once it has been saved by clicking on the "Add Nomination" button.
If you have typed incorrect data, you must delete the nomination using the delete button and then click “Add New Nomination” to start the process again.
If the student wants to withdraw the application, we ask you to delete the nomination before the application deadline.
What happens after I nominate?
Student application
When you have finished the nomination, the students will receive an email from UiA confirming that they have been nominated by your institution. The students will be given further instructions for how to apply.
View the status of the application
You can keep track of each student's status. On the “Available agreements and admission” webpage you may see all relevant agreements and the application status of your nominated students; nominated, applied, admission granted, withdrawn etc.
Normally, all exchange students are accepted for studies at UiA. The students will receive their Letters of Acceptance around one month after the deadline for applications.
