The position of faculty director at the Faculty of Fine Arts was advertised after the current director, Hanne Graver Møvig, was appointed as the Director of Academic Affairs at UiA.

Bente Guttormsen has now been appointed and she will start in the new position on Monday, August 19. Guttormsen is currently a senior advisor at the Human Resources Department, a department where she has worked for over 20 years. During that time, she also served as the head of the department formerly known as Student Services at the university for one year. She also has work experience from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.

Her education includes a cand.mag. in public administration and economics from UiA's predecessor, HiA.

"I am very much looking forward to working with Bente. She comes to the Faculty of Fine Arts with strong administrative competence and extensive organisational experience from the university and will be important in my leadership group at the faculty", says Dean Marit Wergeland.
