The Department of Classical Music and Music Pedagogy educates the future musicians and music educators.
About the department
The department focuses on transmitting the classical music tradition, but also educates music teachers and music educators who work within many genres.
The department offers programmes in performing classical music, both at the bachelor's and master's levels, a one-year programme in music, and music as an elective in the primary school teacher education programme. In addition, we are part of the faculty's PhD programme and are actively involved in academic, artistic, and education-based research.
