The Department of ICT offers education and research of high international quality in a rapidly evolving field.
About the department
Our study programmes cover all levels within information and communication technology, and teaching is conducted in both Norwegian and English.
Key research themes include communication and system security, mobile communication, embedded systems, e-health, and e-learning, and the department has particular expertise in artificial intelligence and intelligent signal processing, and wireless networks. There is also a considerable amount of development work conducted in the fields of electronics, multimedia, and e-learning.
The department collaborates closely with both the public and private sectors in the region and plays an important role in regional development and innovation.
