The department is responsible for teaching and research in the engineering fields of building design, renewable energy, and mechatronics.
About the department
The department is the only educational institution in Norway offering both bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes in mechatronics. Additionally, we provide master's and doctoral degree programmes in renewable energy and building design.
The research center SFI Offshore Mechatronics and several research groups associated with the department all have strong connections to public and industrial partners.
The department boasts a prioritized research center in mechatronics known as the Top Research Centre Mechatronics (TRCM).
