Research

Jeg er professor i pedagogikk og har hovedstillingen min ved Nasjonalt Senter for Læringsmiljø og Atferdsforskning ved Universitetet i Stavanger og er administrerende direktør for Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience Lab. Jeg forsker hovedsakelig på uteskole og effektene ulike miljøer har på læring og deres underliggende fysiologiske prosesser. Videre er jeg interessert i forskningsmetodikk og Bayesiansk vitenskapsfilosofi og statistikk.

Short biography

Jeg har doktorgrad fra Technische Universität München (TUM) og disputerte med et tema om teoretiske, metodologiske og empiriske aspekt til forskning innen uteskole. Utdannet i vitenskapsfilosofi, etikk og teologi ved universitetene i Tübingen, Georgetown og München (LMU), har jeg jobbet i utdanningssektoren i nesten ti år før jeg gikk tilbake i akademia.
