Areas of responsibility

Jan Henriksen is professor (dosent) at the mechatronic section and head of section. He has a master’s degree from NTH in mechanical engineering and a PhD with specialization in mechatronics from UIA.

He has work experience from oil and gas related companies within product development, analysis and documentation of mechanical systems and pipeline systems. Numerical simulations applying Finite element Method has been central in this work.

His research and teaching has been within numerical simulation utilizing the Finite Element Method and 3D software based modelling of mechanical systems.
