Research and supervisor of PhD and graduate students in molecular based studies of ticks and tick born diseases: Frequency of borrelia bacteria in questing ticks and in host animals and their ticks. Involved in studies of genetic response in ticks after environmental exposure and in population genetic studies of various plant and animal species. Interested in genetic mapping and studies of genes for production traits in fish and other species in marine production.
