The Department of Natural Sciences covers a range of research and education which includes subjects such as physics, chemistry, biomedical science, biology, and ecology.
About the department
The department offers a variety of study programmes, including one-year programmes in physics and biology, bachelor's programmes in biology and biomedical science, a master's programme in coastal zone ecology, secondary school teacher education, primary school teacher education, preschool teacher education, practical-pedagogical education, and continuing education for teachers.
We have an active faculty of researchers covering diverse areas such as physics, chemistry, biomedical science, biology, and ecology. The department is also home to the Centre for Coastal Research (CCR), a leading research center in coastal zone ecology. In addition, we have research groups in science education and biomedical science.
