University of Waikato has seven faculties on its main campus in the town of Hamiliton on North Island. The university has approximately 12,000 students, and many of these are international. The university was established in 1964 and is ranked in the top 266 universities (QS World University Rankings, 2019) and is among the top 1,1% of universities in the world.
Waikato Management School is triple accredited. (AACSB, EQUIS og AMBA)

- You must have an active study right to a program at UiA and have completed a minimum of 60 ECTS to go on exchange. Check your program for which semester is open for exchange.
- You must have a C grade average from UiA/previous studies.
- The International Education Office will write a letter confirming your English language level that should be included in your application
Studiepoeng og emner
60 points is equivalent to 30 ECTS. Courses are called papers. Papers can be worth 10, 15 or 20 points.

Bolig
Waikato offers various types of housing: individual student apartments or student apartments including meals. Students can also choose to stay with a local family or rent an apartment on the private market.
The University of Waikato guarantees student housing. You will receive an offer after receiving admission.

Tilleggsinformasjon
- The semester starts in the beginning of July and the middle of February.
- Insurance: You should purchase individual insurance from ANSA. A copy of your ANSA insurance, along with your HELFO card should be sent to kendra.corey@waikato.ac.nz no later than 6 weeks prior to semester start.
- If you select courses from the "Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences", you may apply for a Study Abroad Scholarship from the University of Waikato for up to 3000 NZD.
- Visa: All students must apply for a student visa from the Immigration New Zealand. You must wait to apply until you have received your "Offer of Place" from the University of Waiakto. This is to be included in your application for student visa.
Apply here - What can support can you expect? On arrival, you will be offered a “pick-up service” at the airport. They also have an orientation program arranged during the first days after arrival. You can receive extra support from the Student Learning Office.
