Læringsutbytte

On successful completion of the course, the candidate has:

 

Advanced knowledge about

• landmark studies within group dynamics and team performance

• how team performance and its antecedents can be assessed, and how various assessment methods might influence the conclusions and practical implications

• the evidence behind group dynamics and optimal team performance

• coach-behavior and leadership in team performance

• individual motivation within teamwork

Skills

• can critically evaluate, interpret and disseminate empirical evidence of team performance in sport

• can critically evaluate assessment methods used in team performance-research

• can formulate relevant research questions and plan the conduction and implementation of team performance-enhancing research and interventions

General competence

• can communicate relevant knowledge through scientific and popular scientific channels

Participation in compulsory lectures, group work, practical workshops, discussions and presentations as stated in the course pamphlet.

Undervisnings- og læringsformer

Over five days, teaching and learning methods will consist of a combination of lectures, group work, practical workshops, discussions and presentations based on course topics and the candidates own research experiences and work.

Eksamen

Individual two-weeks home examination. The examination will be assessed as pass/fail.
