An international perspective of ownership issues, contracts, licensing and the commercialising of IP that will include an overview of business and legal issues, domestic and international copyright law, as well as music industry agreement

Læringsutbytte

On successful completion of this course, the student should:

  • understand current crisis and future challenges and opportunities

  • be able to undertake in-depth analysis, individually and in groups

  • have in-depth understanding of the area of live music

  • understand rights management within an arts management context

  • be able to undertake in-depth analysis of revenue streams related to rights

Vilkår for å gå opp til eksamen

Two term papers will be submitted throughout the course. The term papers must be passed before taking the exam. More information about compulsory exercises is given in Canvas by semester start. Compulsory attendance in the lectures.

Eksamen

One written individual take-home examination. Duration: 5 days. Assessed on the basis A-F (with A as the highest level and F as fail).
