Innhold

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to research frontiers in eGovernment research. Students will be given an overview of core research topics and perspectives, and an introduction to specific areas selected on the basis of novelty, importance and the research interests of students and faculty members.

 

The course focuses on the most important contemporary eGovernment research areas. These fields are presented and discussed in overview, after which students select one field for deeper studies. The overview of core research topics will focus on:

• External stakeholder perspective

• Internal administrative perspective

• Implications for the democratic system

Læringsutbytte

On successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

• identify the major research areas in the eGovernment field

• explain the connection between different research areas in the field

• demonstrate in-depth understanding of some specific research areas

• formulate and specify research questions in the eGovernment field

Eksamen

The students will be evaluated based on a term paper discussing key research topics covered in the course.
