For visitors, the Natural History Museum offers a main exhibition – From the Ice Age to the present, a current exhibition, an outdoor rock exhibition, and a beautiful botanical garden.

Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden is a state museum. The museum was founded in 1828 under the name Kristiansand Museum and was renamed Agder Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden in 1994. In 2017, it became part of the University of Agder. The museum curates and develops scientific collections in botany, zoology, and geology.

The picture shows the main entrance to the museum in 2003. Back then, the museum was called Agder Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden.
