Institutional perspective on introducing enterprise architecture
Anne Kristin S. Ajer is a PhD Research Fellow at the department of Information Systems at the University of Agder in Norway. She holds a master’s degree in Information Systems from University of Agder (2012). She has a been for 16 years working at IBM and has extensive professional experience in the IT industry. She has participated in large-scale operational projects for the Norwegian Public Sector. Additionally, she has teaching experience from the University of South-East Norway. Her main research interests relate to enterprise architecture in inter-organizational settings and project management in complex environments.
Anne Kristin’s PhD research investigates enterprise architecture (EA) introduction in hospitals at a national and regional level. The title of the PhD project is Institutional perspective on introducing enterprise architecture. EA is used for designing and implementing ICT-solutions in large organizations. Healthcare has a very complex environment related to processes and technology, and in Norway is EA selected to support renewal of the digital landscape. The research questions are related to the challenges the EA approach meets in establishing the methodology, and in operationalisation of the EA.
