August attendance and introductory meeting

Welcome to the introductory meeting for the master's programme in Global Development, Crisis and Change. We look forward to meeting you all in Kristiansand this August.

The purpose of the seminar is to provide you with the information you need to start your studies in a good way, and to start building a good learning environment. This will be an important resource for you throughout the programme. You will get to know each other, as well as the tutors, instructors and student advisors in our department.

The venue of the seminar is the University of Agder’s Campus Kristiansand. Please see the programme that will be available closer to the start of the introductory meeting.

Prior to the seminar, you will be invited to a digital attendance meeting on the 12 August, organised by student advisor Siv Iren Kolstad. Here, all students are expected to register their participation in the master's programme.

The introductory meeting (19-23 August, 2024) is in-person and obligatory for all students. The programme includes two obligatory group assignments, which are graded pass/fail. The purpose of these assignments is to introduce you to the programme’s teaching philosophy, and for the groups to get to know each other in person before starting their online collaboration.

We look forward to welcoming you to the masters’ programme, and hope we will share an inspiring week in Kristiansand in August.

Kind regards,

The Global Development, Crisis and Change staff
