Log on to Studentweb

Semester registration is a routine you must complete on Studentweb at the beginning of each semester. For new students, semester registration is available from around 4 August / 2 January. It is your responsibility as a student to ensure that all registrations are completed before the specified deadlines.

Deadlines for semester registration

All students are required to register on Studentweb each semester. Studentweb is open for registration from 10 June (for autumn semester) and 10 December (for spring semester) for returning students. You log in to Studentweb by using your username and password (FEIDE) or ID-porten.

The deadline for registration for the autumn semester is 1 September.
The deadline for registration for the spring semester is 1 February.

Important information about deadline and registrations

  • Make sure Studentweb's front page shows that you are registered for the current semester and that you have paid the semester registration.
  • If you have not paid the semester registration by the deadline 1 September / 1 February, the registration for exams will be deleted and you will not be recognised as a student for the semester.
  • All deadlines are absolute unless there are special reasons to postpone the deadlines. Missing deadlines can have significant consequences, such as delays in your studies.

Explanation of Studentweb content

The new front page shows important messages, for example the status of your semester registration and payments, as well as other important messages about exam dates and other reminders.

My profile

In the upper right-hand corner, you will find “my profile”. This is where you can update general information, such as your home and email address.

My studies

This page provides you with an overview of all the study programmes you are associated with at UiA. You will have access to your education plan. When you register for the semester, the courses you see for the current semester will automatically be registered for admission and evaluation. You can edit the registration for courses and exams after completing the semester registration by the deadline (1 September for the autumn semester and 1 February for the spring semester).

Active courses

This is where you can sign up for courses you have admission for, but that do not show up in your education plan. NB! The deadline to register for courses is the same as the semester registration deadline: 1 February / 1 September.

My results

This is where you can find the overview for your achieved qualifications and results. It is also where you can order a printout of your grades and see the information UiA reports to Lånekassen.

Document Archive

This is where you can find the overview of the communication from UiA to you (emails and text messages).

Payments

This is where you can find your payment information for the current semester.

Frequently asked questions

What do I do when I have forgotten my PIN or don’t have one at all?

It is also possible to log on to Studentweb using a username and password, or by clicking “Send new PIN to your email”.

What do I do if I have problems with saving My profile?

Try to change upper-case letters to lower case in your email address.

Is the semester registration valid if I have paid the fee to a university/university college other than UiA?

Only if you can show/send the documentation proving that you have paid the semester registration fee, so that it can manually be registered in the system at UiA.

Why can’t I register to attend the classes of a course (registration for Canvas)?

If you are unable to access the course in the education plan, contact one of the programme coordinators in your faculty.

Why do I get an error message when I try to register for a postponed exam?

An error message may show up if the postponed examination has not yet been created in Studentweb. Contact the exam office for information concerning the status of postponed examinations and when/how to register.  Note that it is not possible to register for a postponed exam on Studentweb before the results for the regular exam have been published.
