Make smarter use of Canvas
Canvas integrates with external software providers, so you can use many of the applications you normally use together with Canvas. For example, you can submit assignments directly from Google Drive to Canvas and create and share documents with course members. Other applications that can be used together with Canvas include Skype, LinkedIn, YouTube and Microsoft Office 365. Some service integrations are course-specific, such as interaction tools for students in programming courses. More integrations with other services and Canvas will be developed in the future.
In addition, Canvas has a notification system. You can get a notification when there is an announcement or when someone replies to a post in a discussion, among other things. You decide how and when to receive such notifications via the settings page.
Contact your course tutor to learn more about the tools you can use with Canvas.
