Take-home exams

A take-home exam is a written exam where students are assigned a task and a time frame to complete it at home. Assignments and take-home exams are submitted through the digital exam tool Inspera. These forms of examination can be either individual or in a group.

Submitting your take-home exam

Familiarise yourself with the submission process in Inspera: Inspera - user guide for submitting assignments.
Important to remember:

  • Allow enough time for the submission process, as it is not possible to submit after the deadline.
  • Create a PDF file of the assignment for submission.
  • Make sure you are in the correct exam and that you have uploaded the correct file.
  • The file will be automatically submitted when the test closes.
  • Your submission will be available in the archive.

Group assignments

When you open a group assignment in Inspera, you must assign yourself to a group before you can open the test. This is how:

  • The first group member creates a new group with a self-chosen, four-digit pin.
  • The other group members join the existing group within the deadline.
  • One of the group members uploads and submits the assignment on behalf of everyone.

Please note:

  • You need to create a group with yourself as the only member although you are allowed to hand in your assignment individually.
  • Answers must include the candidate number of all who have contributed.
  • It is not possible to add new members after the assignment is handed in.
  • Only one member can open the test at a time.
  • All group members must be added within the original submission deadline, even if an extended deadline has been granted.
  • We do not set up password-protected groups.
