Formal requirements
- A minimum of 80 ECTS must be completed in a major subject, in which 20 of them are at level two (courses that build upon a lower level), or a completed two-year integrated study programme.
- A bachelor's thesis of 10-20 ECTS credits. For bachelor's programmes with a major, the bachelor's thesis must be included in the major.
- Examen philosophicum and examen facultatum. The examen facultatum requirement does not apply to study programmes with a major in science.
Course reusability
Reuse of courses that have been included in another diploma is possible, but a minimum of 60 new credits are required to obtain a new degree. Double credits will not be given for overlapping course content within the same degree. As a general rule, the new degree should have a distinct academic specialisation from the previously obtained degree.
Application
Along with the application form found on this website, you must attach the following files:
- certified diplomas/transcripts in Norwegian and English
- course descriptions/programme descriptions and reading lists for the courses not taken at UiA
If you have taken the courses abroad, you do not need to send a Norwegian transcript or diploma. Send your application form to post@uia.no.
