I want to take an exam at UiA
Students from other institutions who would like to take an exam at UiA are required to pay the following fees:
- Exam registration fee of NOK 500 (must be paid even if the student later chooses not to take the exam)
- Administration fee of NOK 500 (if the exam is completed) – a total of NOK 1000 for each examination.
- In addition the student must cover any invigilation costs, if there are no other exam scheduled at UiA on the day of the exam. Costs are as follows: NOK 200 per hour of the exam, plus one hour before and one hour after the examination.
- The above does not apply to incoming exchange students at UiA. No fee is charged to these students.
I want to take an exam somewhere else
In very special cases, students who are unable to take an exam in person at UiA (for example, due to exchange programmes) may apply to take it elsewhere. This applies to both written and oral exams, but please be aware that you are responsible for ensuring that the technical equipment works if you take an oral exam remotely.
UiA students wishing to take an exam externally should be prepared to pay an administration fee to the University of Agder.
- In Norway: NOK 700
- In Europe and elsewhere in the world: NOK 1000
- Students on exchange programmes organised by UiA are exempt from payment if they have valid absence during the regular exam.
To take an exam externally, you are personally responsible for finding an external contact person. This person is responsible for completing the section "for external contact person" in the application form. Please note that both you and your contact person must sign the form.
Please note: We may not be able to offer the same type of accommodations for students with special needs as we do for exams taken on our own campus.
Exchange students from UiA at universities abroad
Exchange students from UiA at universities abroad whose exams are scheduled in January, may apply to take their exams at UiA.
- You will have to pay an administration fee of NOK 1000 for each exam plus cover any invigilation costs if no other exams are scheduled at UiA on that day.
- Exchange students from UiA at universities abroad who have failed or had valid absence from their exams may apply to take their exams at UiA. No fee is charged to these students.
