Course includes:

work with developing a diverse personal expression within both areas

work with performance skills towards different audience groups

continued development of technical skills within the two main areas

work on the ability to adjust to different ensemble constellations.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students shall:

Examination requirements

Approved participation on minimum 1 concert per main area, hosted by UiA

Teaching methods
The course is conducted through individual lessons and group lessons. During the course, the student will participate in different projects and seminars. Each student will receive tuition in both disciplines (individually and in ensemble). The tuition resources will be allocated 70/30 in favor of the students main discipline. There will be room for flexible organisation regarding various projects. Attending the lessons is compulsory.
Expected workload for an average student is 27 hours per credit.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.

Assessment methods and criteria
A 45 minutes practical examination/assessment: primary discipline appr. 30 minutes performance; secondary discipline appr. 15 minutes. The students programmes must be approved by their respective teachers in advance and can consist of solo as well as ensemble repertoire.
Grade: Pass/fail
