Course contents
Being able to practically apply and evaluate practices using digital tools and approaches is germane to a successful modern learning environment. In this course the students will gain the practical experience and feedback to do so.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the courses the participants will have the ability to:
- Evaluate and select practical approaches for digital learning.
- Evaluate and select platforms for learning based on the user’s needs.
- Analyze and assess online courses.
- Plan courses according to international requirements (ECTS)
- Design, develop and implement digital teaching content.
- Use common standards for distributing online learning material.
- Participation in online networks
- Use of authoring tools for creating and distributing online learning content
- To use peer assessment
- Ability to survey new and upcoming technologies for learning.
- Test and evaluate tools didactically.

Teaching methods
The course is taught as a combination of lectures, flipped classroom, discussions and assignments. The expected scope of work for the average student is 185 hours.
Evaluation
Program coordinator together with elected student representatives decide on evaluation strategies and whether the course will have midterm and/or end of term evaluation, in accordance with the quality system chapter 4.1. Information about evaluation forms is published in Canvas.

Assessment methods and criteria
Portfolio assessment counting 40 % of the total grade and a final project counting 60 %. Graded A-F. Information about the requirements for the portfolio will be given in Canvas.
