This course provides a basic introduction to Norwegian sport. After completing the course, students will have a basic knowledge of the history and organisation of Norwegian sport, sport's sustainability work and key psychosocial development processes in the work with children and young people that take place at the grassroots in Norwegian sport. In addition, students will receive a basic introduction to individual and relational sport psychological perspectives.

Examination requirements
Approved attendance at compulsory teaching.
Approved group presentation during seminar-based teaching.

Teaching methods
The teaching will be given in the form of lectures, seminars and student presentations. Parts of the teaching are compulsory. Expected student workload is approx. 270 hours.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.
Assessment methods and criteria
4-hour individual written exam under supervision.
Assessment expression: Graded grade.
