Examination requirements

Work requirements in mathematics must be approved in order to sit for the examination in mathematics. Work requirements in Norwegian, project and practice in the 2nd semester must be approved in order to sit for the exam in Norwegian. A more detailed description of work requirements will be provided through Canvas at the start of the semester.

The subject has a requirement of 70% attendance in order to sit for the oral exam in Norwegian.

Teaching methods

The area of knowledge is composed of different teaching methods in larger and smaller student groups. Emphasis is placed on student-active forms of work such as group work, oral presentations and written student work. The course has an expected scope of work of approx. 600.

The course includes 25 days of practice in kindergarten and school. Five days focus on the transition between kindergarten and school.

Evaluation

The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written exam in mathematics, 6 hours, individual, (autumn, 1st semester) counts 35 %.

Oral exam in Norwegian, individual, (spring, 2nd semester) counts for 65 %.
