Practising clinical interview techniques

Examination of roles as interviewer, observant and interviewee

Role-play of work with clients showing different therapeutic approaches

Presentation of clinical videos related to theory, methodical approaches and ethical questions

Work with the students' clinical videos related to theory, methodical approaches and ethical questions
Learning outcomes
After having completed the course, students will:

have developed his/her personal and therapeutic working methods based on clinical supervision with personal strength and competence emphasised
Teaching methods
Clinical supervision:
Students' testing of new approaches in working with clients must take place in the presence of qualified supervisors. Students must obtain supervisors on their own, the choice of which must be approved by the faculty.
Education requirements for supervisors:

A minimum of 3 years experience as a family therapist

Have a thorough knowledge about relation and system oriented theories and to the development within the field

Be a supervisor approved by own union when such arrangements exist
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
Assessment methods and criteria

The student must be able to document 100 hours of work as a family therapist during the study programme. The student must also have received an attestation on 120 hours of supervision (included 30 hours directly supervision) which must be assessed as a pass. The supervision will be given to groups and one lesson is 45 minutes.

Oral examination based on a video in which the students present their clinical work with a family.
The clincal studies and the oral examination will be assessed as pass or fail.
