Course contents
The course contains main instrument teaching, ensemble, seminars and projects. Emphasis is focused on developing skills as a songwriter, on instrument and in collaboration with other students. Creative work is central both independently and in groups, including further developing of a personal artistic expression both as a performer and songwriter.

Teaching methods
Each student is given individual tuition within their main area. The main instrument supervision may be organized flexibly to make room for different projects. Ensemble tuition will be conducted in co-creation projects focusing on co-writing, recording, arranging and production.
During the course, the student participates in interpretation (LIVE: performance with self- and peer assessment, as well as feedback from lecturers), as well as 1-2 compulsory projects, concerts or seminars. An overview of this is provided at the start of the semester. The student is also provided teaching on an optional instrument II individually or, if appropriate, in groups.
Interpretive teaching is organized with students as participants and conducted as a concert with a following feedback sequence.
Parts of the teaching are compulsory. These parts are presented in Canvas at the beginning of the semester.
Expected work scope is 27 hours per credits.
Evaluation
The study program manager determines-in consultation with the student representative-selected evaluation form and whether the courses should have mid- or final evaluation in line with the quality system chapter 4.1.

Assessment methods and criteria
A concert of approx. 20 minutes with self-written material. Students are assessed individually. Repertoire and participation are decided in consultation with the main instrument teacher.
