NorwegianCourse contents
The course emphasizes developing skills on the main instrument, in ensemble and on the student's instrument II. The connection between individual work and ensemble is central, and the student is challenged in interpretation classes and as musical director, creative works, audio equipment knowledge and in music study subjects. Emphasis focus on understanding musical styles and genres, both individually and in ensemble. Performing knowledge–in the form of performance mastery, collaboration and instrument knowledge–is taught in both ensemble and individual performance.
Further development of skills in the student's main area is emphasized, and the student is encouraged to work with different styles within the popular music genres. Creative work through independent working methods and effective study of music, provides the student knowledge of the individual performance in several fields. In addition, the student aims to develop adequate working and exercise practices.
For the students in the bachelor's program in electronic music, emphasis is placed on the student's creative artistic activity in the form of close follow up in composition, song writing and production.
