Course includes:

analysis and review of relevant works and literature of instrument methodology

work with various problem solving methods and challenges for the instrument in teaching situations

work to understanding how the use of instrument performance methods affects goal achievement and instrument performance development

work with instrument performance methods in planning and facilitating teaching situations.

work in a systematic manner with understanding and application of terms related to instrument methodology
-
supervised foundational professional training emphasising instrument performance problem solving
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students shall:

be able to define achievements, make plans and facilitate instrumental performance development in educational situasions

have an overview of relevant works and literature of instrumental methodology

be able to apply methods in instrument performance teaching situations

be able to describe different methodological tools and explain how these can be used for instrument performance development
-
be able to analyse and correct instrument performanc problems at different levels
-
be able to identify and explain factors affecting the selection of instrument performance methods

Teaching methods
The course is conducted through lectures, group lessons and individual lessons. Students are also provided supervision. Professional practise experience is provided both individually and in groups. Further information about work-related practise is provided through Canvas at the beginning of the semester.
Parts of the tuition is mandatory. These will be presented in Canvas at the beginning of the semester.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
