Course contents
Vectors, logarithm functions, exponential functions, integration, simple differential equations, conic section.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is expected to have:
necessary knowledge in matematics to start an engineering study
knowledge and skills that correspond to R2 (3MX) from the Norwegian videregående skole (upper secondary school)
Examination requirements
Satisfactory submission of compulsory exercises.
Teaching methods
Lectures 2 hours per week and exercises 4 hours per week.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.”
Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, 3 hours. Pass/Fail.
