Prerequisites

MA-006 or equivalent

Course contents

Vectors, logarithm functions, exponential functions, integration, simple differential equations, conic section.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student is expected to have:

  • necessary knowledge in matematics to start an engineering study

  • knowledge and skills that correspond to R2 (3MX) from the Norwegian videregående skole (upper secondary school)

Examination requirements

Satisfactory submission of compulsory exercises.

Teaching methods

Lectures 2 hours per week and exercises 4 hours per week.

Evaluation

The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.”

Assessment methods and criteria

Written examination, 3 hours. Pass/Fail.
