Course contents
The course provides an introduction to design theory as a basis for conducting a needs analysis for the development of secure information systems and a relevant methodology for this type of system development projects.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should be able to:

apply design theory for the design of security architecture

plan and implement the development of secure information systems

Approved compulsory submissions, in addition to compulsory participation in lectures and discussions. More detailed information is provided in Canvas at the start of the semester.
Teaching methods
The course is given in the form of seminars that include lectures, exercises, and group work. Parts of the teaching are compulsory, detailed information about this is given in Canvas at the beginning of the semester. The total expected scope of work is estimated at approx. 210 hours.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Portfolio Assessment. Individual graded grade A-F. Further information about what is included in the portfolio assessment is given in Canvas at the start of the semester. There is no postponed examination in this course.
