Course contents

The specialization project constitutes a written assignment aimed at providing the students with deeper insights into topics related to entrepreneurship and innovation and/or the student's specialization. Students work in groups of 2 on a topic of their choice and deliver a project report that could serve as the basis for a later master thesis. The project should be research based and can be related to the students' startup and/or other startups/businesses.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, the students should:

• Have advanced knowledge of one or more central research issues related to entrepreneurship, innovation, and/or the students chosen specialization courses.

• Be able to identify and gather relevant information

• Be able to critically assess and evaluate research and generate insight from key findings

• Be able to gather and analyze empirical data

• Be able to evaluate and give feedback on research performed by others

Examination requirements

Students need to present their projects and provide written feedback on the other students’ projects. Further information will be given on Canvas at the start of the semester.

Teaching methods

Group project. Seminars. Approximate workload is 420 hours.

Evaluation

Student evaluation is carried out as a midway evaluation and in accordance with the normal arrangement as described in the quality assurance system, chapter 2.1.1. If necessary, a possible end of semester evaluation may be implemented.

Group project report. The group as whole is graded. Grading by letters. More information is provided on Canvas.
