Course contents
In this course, students learn about different perspectives on how to apply sports activities in practice. Through teaching selected specialisation sports and contemporary activities, students are introduced to different methods and models for teaching and learning. The activity teaching will form a concrete arena for the more theoretical courses in the bachelor's programme.

Specialisation options within the categories of individual sports and team sports
The offer of specialisation sports within the two categories depends on the number of enrolled students. At least two choices will be given within each of the categories.
We reserve the right to make changes to the range of sports offered at any given time.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, the student will

be able to explain what is meant by the holistic understanding of activity learning

be able to explain and apply two selected teaching models in an educational context

be able to justify pedagogical measures to promote appropriate movement solutions in sports in general and in specialised sports in particular (technical and tactical)

be able to demonstrate basic skills in speciality sports and explain the activity's key characteristics, prevalence and historical development

be able to demonstrate basic skills in a selection of contemporary activities and explain the key characteristics, prevalence and historical development of these activities

be able to reflect on the importance of explicit and implicit learning processes in different activities
Examination requirements
Approved active participation in practical sports activities.
Approved work requirement in activity theory. The work requirement is completed in groups and is of a practical nature.

Teaching methods
Teaching will be given in the form of lectures, practical work and project work. The course assumes a high degree of self-activity on the part of the students.
All teaching in practical sports activities is compulsory.
Expected student workload in the course is approx. 270 hours.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.
