A four-week field course is developed and organised in collaboration with our partner universities in either Africa (Tanzania, Uganda), Asia (Indonesia, Sri Lanka) or Latin America (Bolivia). A field course will also be offered in Norway. The overall objective of the field course is to give students an opportunity to link theoretical knowledge and insights gained from the introductory courses with local realities and practices. This is done through lectures, visits to relevant institutions, organisations and projects, and with interaction with local stakeholders and practical field exercises.

-
explain different factors that produce economic and social inequalities within groups and countries
-
describe and analyse development challenges and strategies applied by different local actors
