Students will complete an internship in a cultural institution or company where they will contribute to a project or solve specific tasks. An important part of the course is to acquire competence in project management within the field of culture. The work involves solving problems that allow the student to use theory and methods they have acquired in the study.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should:

have practical experience of carrying out cultural project(s)

be able to apply professional knowledge in communication with both specialists and the general public

Teaching methods
The subject is practical, and linked to the relevant project or business at which the student will have an internship. The student chooses either to have practice in their own project, in an organization or in a company that the department approves as part of practice in the subject.
Students send an application to the organization they are interested in working with. More information about routines, procedures and deadlines is provided in Canvas at the start of the course.
The student stay at the internship for approx. 100 hours and is given work assignments relevant to their professional competence and the practice's needs. Flexibility is provided in how you want to organize your working hours and tasks.
Expected work scope is 27 hours per credits.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
