Prerequisites

Minimum 45 sp from the year abroad.

Course contents

Focus will be on

  • communication in LSP texts

  • information channels

  • internal and external communication

  • information management

  • preparation of information and communication material

Learning outcomes

After completion of the course, students should

  • have a basic knowledge of corporate communications

  • have knowledge of public relations

  • have gained experience in working out different types of PR-material in different text types and genres

Examination requirements

Three individual assignments per semester must be assessed as a pass.

Teaching methods

Teaching will be in the form of lectures and student work, individually and in groups. Student work includes document production, i.a. on the basis of cases. Workload: 270 hours.

Evaluation

The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.

Assessment methods and criteria

An individual two-day home examination (case) (counts 50%). Oral examination with a PowerPoint presentation (counts 50%). Both parts of the examination must be assessed as a pass in order to achieve a pass in the course as a whole. Graded assessment.
