This course gives the students the opportunity to further develop their skills as performing musicians through musical performance, including principal instrument classes, interpretation classes, music production and musical presentation. The course focuses on individuality, artistic personality and musical identity, and the aim is to give the student advanced knowledge of the music field. This will also acquire knowledge of various musical genres and interpretation.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this course, the student shall:

All work assignments must be passed before the final examination can take place.

Teaching methods
As a Popular Music Performance or World Music student, tuition will be given through individual instruction on the student's principal instrument and in interpretation classes. Additionally, seminars will be arranged for the students.
For Electronic Music students, supervision in performance, composition, Live Electronics, programming or studio work will be given individually and in groups.
For Songwriting students, the course emphasises on textual work, lectures and group work, as well as individual effort.
Digital tools will be used if expedient. The student must have access to a personal computer.
Semester plans will be posted on Canvas at semester-opening. The workload is estimated to 27 hours per credit. Compulsory attendance.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
