This course focus on reharmonization as a tool in the student and others' arrangements and compositions. An introduction is provided into different harmonic principles and ways of applying these principles, with special emphasis on melodic reharmonization.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should:

Teaching methods
The teaching consists of lectures and group supervision, in addition to individual feedback in Canvas on assignments. Students will use digital tools such as Sibelius and Logic Pro in their work. Throughout the course, there will be a number of practical assignments, with group discussions and examples.
Parts of the teaching are compulsory. These parts are presented in Canvas at the beginning of the semester.
Expected work scope is 27 hours per credits.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.

Assessment methods and criteria
Individual portfolio submission with 5-7 minutes of recorded audio material with a score. The recording can consist of different productions. Assignment is presented at the beginning of the semester in Canvas. An overall grade is given for the portfolio.
Grade: Pass/Fail.
