This course will provide is an introduction to research methods. The course will address the research design, generation of different types of qualitative and quantitative data, and practical and ethical considerations related to a scientific study. Furthermore, the course provides an introduction to concepts such as selection types, validity and reliability.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course the students should be able to:

demonstrate familiarity with the steps of a research process and how to report research findings

demonstrate the differences between qualitative and quantitative methods

to select an appropriate method for a given problem

Lectures and group work. Estimated workload is about 200 hours
