JU-200 Administrative Law or equivalent.
For single course students, this subject (or equivalent) is required for admission.
Course contents
Emphasis will be given the laws relevant to the welfare agencies¿ organization, benefits and services, including rights and duties of the applicant. Key areas include social law, children law and health law, including special regulations regarding procedures for welfare agencies. An overview of regulations concerning coercive use will be given as well.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course the student should be able to:

apply the rules regulating administrative proceedings in the welfare system.

apply the laws concerning benefits and services provided by the welfare agencies in a morally responsible manner.

familiarity with the regulations concerning coercive means.

identify legal aspects in complex welfare problems.
Examination requirements
Approved compulsory assignment (may be handed in individually or in groups of up till five students). More information in Canvas at the start of the semester.
Teaching methods
Lectures and group work. Estimated workload is about 270 hours.
