Course contents

The course deals with French literature from the 17th to the 19th century, literary history, literary theory and textual analysis, as well as today's French society and the French-speaking world in light of France's history.

A five-week stay in Caen in January/February is included in the course. Among other things, an introduction to French geography and social studies will be given. During their stay, the students interview at least two people in French and write a thesis in French based on the interviews. The stay ends with a written assignment and an oral exam. If you have been granted an exemption from your stay, you must also write a special thesis. This is completed with an oral presentation at the University of Agder, in accordance with guidelines set by the teacher.

Please note that registration for the trip takes place in the autumn semester.
