Course contents

Graphic and interactive design and its corner stones; shapes, colour, typography, layout, structure, navigation, user experience and more. The use and principles of essential graphic software for raster graphics and layout. At present Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. 

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course, the canidate should:

  • Show a professionalised view on layout of both interactive and passive media.

  • Be capable of creating interactive and passive media designs with a professional touch.

  • Be able to give a record of central issues in interaction design.

  • Master software for raster graphics, vector graphics and layout on a semi-professional level.

Digital lectures / video courses.
Laboratory course offered.
Point giving weekly assignments.

Estimated workload for the average student is approximately 270 hours.

Evaluation

The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.
