The course discusses methods for dissemination of research findings adapted to different recipient groups. Students will practice critical thinking, reading and writing e.g. by preparing potential publishable articles. The course will also focus on ethical and practical guidelines and criteria for the publication of research.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to

analyze critically, reflect on and communicate research findings related to ecological topics

demonstrate skills in written communication at a level expected for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals

Examination requirements
• Weekly submissions must be passed.
• Oral test must be passed.
• Compulsory attendance at certain teaching hours must be approved.

Teaching methods
The course includes lectures and workshops. Instruction will be given in English, but if only Norwegian-speaking students attend, the teaching language will be Norwegian. Information will be given in Canvas at the start of the course.
Estimated student workload in this course is 135 hours.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
