Course contents
The course provides a theoretical and practical introduction to the techniques used in Live Remix.
Emphasis is placed on the Live Remix techniques developed at the Punkt festival, which is an immediate remix of a concert, alone or in collaboration with other musicians, based on samples and inspiration from the previous concert.

After completing the course, the student should:

Teaching methods
The teaching consists of lectures and group supervision, as well as practice with the digital tool Ableton Live.
For the popular music students, the course provides an introduction and experience in improvisation with your own main instrument in the Live Remix situations.
For the students in electronic music, the course provides an opportunity to further develop their own expression in remix.
It is a prerequisite that students have knowledge of Ableton Live in order to be able to choose the course.
Parts of the teaching are compulsory. These parts are presented in Canvas at the beginning of the semester.
Expected work scope is 27 hours per credits.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.

Assessment methods and criteria
Individual practical exam in an authentic concert or a Live Remix setting. Scope: approx. 20 minutes.
Grade: Pass/Fail.
