is able to apply professional knowledge of health, aging and disease to systematically observe, assess, decide, implement, document and evaluate nursing

is able to use mapping, assessment, documentation and communication tools in the nursing practice

is able to communicate with chronically and long-term ill patients and patients with cognitive failure and their relatives

is able to apply skills and procedures, and is familiar with relevant medical technical equipment

Teaching methods
Skills training, simulation and heart and lung rescue in the university's clinic laboratory / exercise department.
Supervised clinical studies.
Compulsory attendance requirement (90%).
Student workload is estimated to 540 hours.

Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
Assessment methods and criteria
The exam is 9 weeks supervised practice, with 1 week simulation practice and 8 weeks clinical practice. There is a requirement of 90 percent attendance in simulation practice and 90 percent attendance in clinical practice.
Participation in reflection groups and reflection notes must be approved in order for the practice period to be assessed as a pass.
Assessment: Pass / Fail
