Norwegian.Prerequisites
Examinations in NO-400, Specialization 1 and 2 must be passed before the master's thesis is handed in for assessment.
Course contents
The Master's thesis is to be an independent research-based work, completed under the guidance of an appointed supervisor. Students are assigned a supervisor based on their project description. The scope of the Master’s thesis is normally 80-120 typewritten pages.

Examination requirements
Compulsory writing course and presentation for all the students who have not already submitted and got approval of project description and progression plan for the master's thesis. Students must have attended the compulsory supervision (4 tutorial meetings).
Teaching methods
Writing a master's thesis with individual supervision. Compulsory writing course. Compulsory supervision: minimum 4 tutorial meetings. The workload is estimated to about 1600 hours
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
Assessment methods and criteria
Individual assessment of the Master´s thesis. Graded assessment. The Master's Thesis is to be written in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language (Danish or Swedish). The evaluation will emphasis on professional content and communicative skills. When it comes to assessment of language, the students' linguistic background will be taken into account.The length of the master's thesis is normally 80- 120 pages (Times New Roman, 12 pkt,line spacing 1,5).
